tour Promoting’s biggest secret:

Earl Ciccel

As a tour promoter, Earl Ciccel has worked with everyone from Wayne Newton to Diana Ross to The Chippendale dancers. He “brought” his first concert when he was still in high school with money he earned from renovating and reselling old cars.

He’s the only black promoter who knows about and works successfully within the white chitlin circuit, a string of small venues and clubs across the country where black bands can crossover into white markets and make a living without having a record on the radio.

Ciccel and company also rejuvenated a series of other theatres including the famed Hollywood Palladium, which he turned into the largest dinner theatre venue in the country equipped with fifteen-hundred seats, palm trees and geisha girls.

Today, Ciccel is bubbling over with a wealth of knowledge and experience. His twenty-plus year career has placed him in the company of legendary artists too numerous to name, whom he has accompanied all over the world.
